Parallel to her experience on stage, Gal professionalized as an assistant director, choreographic assistant and stage manager in various opera houses and productions.
In spring 2017 she made her debut as a choreographer in the scenic concert The Melting Pot in collaboration with the Kammerphilharmonie Frankfurt, and at the "Cantiere Internationale d'Arte" in Montepulciano in summer 2018 she took over the choreography in the opera L'impresario in Angustie. In the production "Person A" by the choreographer* duo Orla McCarthy and Max Makowski she worked as Outside Eye in 2018, and in winter 2019 as choreographic collaborator with director Claus Guth for the production "Lullaby Experience" (by composer Pascal Dusapin together with Ensemble Modern).
Her choreographic film HINENI, developed with film artist James Chan-A-Sue, premiered in the program of studioNAXOS in April 2021, and was shown, amongst others, in the Hessische Theatertage 2021 and the Soundance Festival, Berlin, 2021. It will be presented again 2022.
In autumn 2021 she began collaborating with Dramaturg Julia Hagen, researching for the interdisciplinary project An American in Paris, and most recently, she started, in collaboration with choreographer and dancer Evie Poaros and music director Nicolai Bernstein, an interdisciplinary exchange with visual artist Christine Reifenberger.
Her new independent production will be presented as part of the "Emerging Artists" program of the HTA in Frankfurt LAB in May 2022.
