Gal Fefferman born in 1991, is originally from Tel Aviv, Israel, where she completed her first professional stage dance training in 2011 at the "Maslool- Bikurey Ha'itim". In 2016 she completed her BA in contemporary dance at the HfMdK Frankfurt, and since then she has been working as a freelance dancer, performer and choreographer in Frankfurt and the Rhine-Main area in Germany.

As a freelance dancer she was involved in Jérôme Bel's "Gala" (2016) at Mousonturm Frankfurt and at the Wiesbaden Biennale and in 2018 in the dance production "UNLIKELY CREATURES (three) us hearing voices" by Billinger & Schulz. Since 2016 she has a close collaboration with Simon Möllendorf, one of the co-founders of studioNAXOS (Naxos Halle, FfM), and his collective Dorfproduct in the productions "Menge" - 2016, "Herakles Wiederkehr" - 2017, "Gesten der Zärtlichkeit" - 2018-2019, and "Annäherung an die Zärtlichkeit" - 2020/21, among others.

Parallel to her experience on stage, Gal professionalized as an assistant director, choreographic assistant and stage manager in various opera houses and productions.

In spring 2017 she made her debut as a choreographer in the scenic concert The Melting Pot in collaboration with the Kammerphilharmonie Frankfurt, and at the "Cantiere Internationale d'Arte" in Montepulciano in summer 2018 she took over the choreography in the opera L'impresario in Angustie. In the production "Person A" by the choreographer* duo Orla McCarthy and Max Makowski she worked as Outside Eye in 2018, and in winter 2019 as choreographic collaborator with director Claus Guth for the production "Lullaby Experience" (by composer Pascal Dusapin together with Ensemble Modern).

Most recently, she developed HINENI (formerly "Try-Out #1") as part of Co-Op Dance Company's "Zukunft Tanzt" festival at Gallus Theater, Frankfurt am Main. A film version of the work, developed with film artist James Chan-A-Sue, premiered in the program of studioNAXOS in April 2021, and was shown, amongst others, in the Hessische Theatertage 2021 and the Soundance Festival, Berlin, 2021. It will be presented again 2022.
